Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Ms. Wanda realized early on that caring for others was something that she truly enjoyed. She began exploring this as a career through nursing classes and eventually earned her certificate in Early Childhood Development. Realizing childcare could become a real passion, she went on to become the Owner/Operator of her own Daycare in Maryland. What began as a way to work while staying home to raise her oldest daughter, turned into a fulfilling career path for her that she would continue to come back to over the years. Ms. Wanda operated her Daycare for 5 years, at which point life changed - as it does for many of us - and Ms. Wanda joined the corporate world to be able to take care of her family. As time went on, Ms. Wanda still felt a tug in the back of her mind urging her to come back to her true passion in caring for children. After raising her two children and sending them both to college, she decided it was time to go back to that career that filled her heart with joy. She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and began working as an Infant Teacher. While at the Daycare, she would occasionally be asked to work in the Newborns room where her passion for caring for the tiny ones was renewed. Ms. Wanda then began working as a Private Nanny for a few families where she focused her efforts on helping to raise newborns in their homes while also assisting the parents in learning some best practices for caring for their new bundle of joy. As Ms. Wanda saw the babies blossom and the parents thanked her for the incredible knowledge she imparted, she realized that she had an opportunity to create a huge positive impact on families with newborns as a Newborn Care Consultant.
